Yet you ignore the fact germany was perhaps the leading cause of WWI. French revanchinism had increased ever since 1871, Wilhelm II was outspoken about his hatred of the British and created the high seas fleet to contest British naval dominance, and provided a blank check to Austria which had blatantly revealed its intentions to invade Serbia. Indy nidel put it nicely; paraphrasing of course, “WWI was not a single war, it was a british-germany war, a russian-Austrian war, a Bulgarian-serbian war.” Britain didn’t join the war because it cared about Serbia, but to prevent german hegemony, Bulgaria never entered the war because it cared about what was happening in France but out of its pure hatred of Serbia.
