(Text post) I got super emotional about the fall of the Byzantine Empire today

I was in school today and was reading a book on the Ottoman Empire, when I realized that they were the downfall of the Byzantines. For some reason, it made me really sad thinking about the fall of the Byzantine Empire, and I’m certain I felt tears at one point.
