On this day (7th of February) in 1799, Cardinal Fabrizio Ruffo landed in Calabria to raise a Catholic army and liberate the Christian people from the tyranny of the jacobin Parthenopean Republic. Within a month he raised a force of 17,000 who won another great victory of the Catholic faith!
