Hey everybody, I’d like to apologize for the WW2 ban we were going to put into effect. It should’ve been, like certain people have said, a more positive based event like a contest rather than a general temporary ban. For that I’m sorry, a ban like that won’t happen again.That being said some things need to be addressed. There is too much WW2 and Rome spam, that’s clear. It’s the same 4-5 jokes told using different formats and we are here to meme about all of history not just those two. I understand that those are more widely known topics so more people get the jokes but we as a mod team and as fellow members of the community, along with many others, want to see more topics and encourage people to do more than just repost the same memes every day. We have discussed a Joke Life Preserve (JPL) like that of /r/polandball where certain jokes are put away (temporarily banned) for 1-5 months and then a new set of jokes or the same are voted by the community to be put on that list. This is voted on by the community and would contain things like• Maginot Line jokes• Trees speaking ______• That one meme about how “haha Belgium isn’t just super nice remember the whole Congo thing” that I have deleted just today 4 times.•the title “interesting title”And that’s just an example of things that can be included.I like to think we do a good job moderating this community and you, the community, want to work with us.If you have any suggestions please comment on this post, message the mods, or message me/ any other mods.
