Announcing r/dankmemes Community Awards!

Hey all! So our subreddit has decided to add some cool new community awards for y’all to use. If you don’t know what these are, they are a new alternative to gifting silver/gold/platinum with awards that are unique and exclusive to the subreddit! We’ve been hard at work thinking up and designing the awards we have so far, and we’re excited to share them with you:Community Awards• Reddit Ass — Just like Reddit Silver, but Ass instead. (300 coins)• Spicy Meme — This silver Pepe certifies that the meme it is attached to is a goOd meme (300 coins)• Dank Meme — A glistening Gnome Child, the symbol of our sub, guarantees that the meme it is awarded to is a 100% all-around dank meme (500 coins)• Wholesome Meme — Bob Ross’s face ensures that whatever meme or comment that has this award is truly as wholesome as it gets. (500 coins)• Galaxy Brain — Use this award on memes or comments that are especially clever, smart, or unique. Yeah, it’s big brain time. (500 coins)• #1 Meme — A visage of our hero and role model Stefán Karl Stefánsson will grace the meme gifted with this award. This award is only to be given to the very best of memes, worthy of being shown to Robbie Rotten himself. (2000 coins)• redacted_award — H_is_banned. (6900 coins)• The Big Gay — Awarding a post this award doesn’t mean anything, it just gives it the big gay. (10,000 coins)• DELET THIS — This isn’t an award, it is a mark of shame, only to go on the shittiest of memes. If you see this award on your meme, know that someone paid literally $50 to tell you that your meme sucks. If we mods see something with this award, there’s a 99% chance we will go ahead and remove it. (20,000 coins)• The Infinite Gay — Awarding a post this award doesn’t mean anything, it just gives it the infinite gay. (40,000 coins)Ok so now for a little FAQ:Q: Does these awards give out premium?A: Uh, no. But premium kinda sucks anyways.Q: Then wtf is the point of giving out these awards?A: They’re fun! Who wouldn’t love to gift a silver pepe or golden gnome child instead of a standard Reddit award? Plus, every time you use one of our awards, we get 20% of the cost in mod coins!Q: Mod coins? Wtf are you guys getting paid for this?A: No, we aren’t mods of r/fortnitebr.Q: Then whats the point of these mod coins?A: Well, they will allow us to gift special mod awards we create which will give the awarded user premium. Basically, the more you give these awards, the more we can give back to the community. This is a great way to uniquely reward users when we run contests, or just for rewarding high-effort OC and other kinds of quality posts/comments regularly.Mod Awards and SuggestionsSo as I said above, mod awards are awards only we can give, that will confer premium. Currently, we have a one or two exciting ideas in the works which will give us consistent ways to give back to the users. However, we would always be happy with more, so if you have any ideas for future awards, mod or community, please comment and let us know! If your idea is good, we may incorporate it!EDIT: We have a few mod awards now!The first is called “Mod’s Choice” and it looks like Reddit Platinum but the inside gem is rainbow instead of blue (cuz mods gay lmao). It functions just like a platinum, as in you get 700 coins and a month of premium, but only we can give it. And it’s gay.The other two are “Most Upvoted Meme of the Week” (a silver upvote) and “Most Upvoted Meme of the Month” (a golden upvote). These are exactly what they sound like, and they come with premium as well. The more community awards you give, the more of these mod awards we can give out!Award designersA huge thanks to /u/bitchsuckmyass, /u/slippery-weasel, /u/loomynartylenny, and /u/MKatze for designing and working on these awards! via /r/dankmemes https://ift.tt/2Ly7Dx1
