HelloI wanted to give you all a heads up on a project we are working on with other meme subs that I think you might like. Our April Fools Day prank was massively successful and people had such a good time that since then, we have been trying to think of ways to do something similar that maybe doesn’t ban 25k people and cause a massive amount of drama.Then suddenly it occurred to me, we could repurpose an almost-dead spin-off sub and turn it into a meme battle sub. I’m surprised it didn’t occur to me sooner considering the name of the sub is /r/meme_battles.So we erased all of the content that was there and now it will be home to our own competitive event similar to Orange Arrow only this time each contest will have a different theme. Some of the wrinkles have yet to be ironed out but if you were involved with /r/orangearrow you are used to a certain level of chaos during these events. Here at the gay headquarters of r/dankmemes, we’ve been noticing an uptick of trans hate in the comments. We want to heavily stress that we accept and support all minorities here; LGBTQ+ people, and people of race, ethnic, and religious minorities are all welcome here. That’s the way it is. If you can’t handle that, please do not participate here and instead go post to some other normie subreddit.
