I haven’t seen much about the D Day invasion, which I think is kind of sad. 150,000 men landed in France, and to this day, we still aren’t sure how many died. Some historians place the casualties at around 75%, which in any military campaign is a staggering amount. My grandpa was a paratrooper in WW2, and may have been one of the 13,100 paratroopers to jump into France the day before. I think today should be getting more attention than it has been, and I hope people spread the word. via /r/HistoryMemes http://bit.ly/2HX8Prt
